On 16 August 2014 I saw about 6 monarchs all semi-worn so not yet migrants in our Sweet Briar College Buddleia garden. On the same day there were two in our home garden here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, also not fresh. I surmise that the numbers are beginning to build up, but we have not yet entered the fall migration phase. Have seen no immatures at home all summer even though Asclepias syriaca is flourishing in our garden.
