At around 10:06 a beautiful female adult monarch finally emerged from its chrysalis in our garden. The chrysalis was formed around July 31 or Aug.1 and with all the poor rainy and unseasonably cold weather here, it had the good sense to wait till the first sunny warm day to emerge. There is a picture I posted of this chrysalis in an earlier report under: "Other Observations" dated either of the above mentioned dates. She is busy exploring another area and we lost sight of her soon after. What a magical moment she gave us. Hope she makes it to Mexico.
