We are STILL waiting for a new Pergola to be installed exactly where 15 year old placed hummingbird hooks prevailed. It is a full sky view on the patio and I have observed the funniest things with 2 Ruby-throats. The youngest male sits on our wires to garage looking to the East all the time for the other one, then goes chasing it off for good. Ironically for him he looked and looked yesterday for an hour and finally figured he was left alone. He flew off southerly into the large oak in the front. Haven’t seen them since. So in the meantime after pondering for 2 weeks:
Mike husband really has to put up with a lot in that I hooked a 12 foot cedar board flat side up from the Desert Willow tree to the bottle tree just to hang two hooks for hummingbird feeders exactly where two feeders went before. The Hummingbirds came directly to feeders the next morning!
