I am observing a REAL PROBLEM with the Tachinid flies killing the caterpillars this year. They are even laying eggs on the tiny caterpillars, not just the larger ones. Not only the Monarchs but the Black Swallowtails. Solution: I bring in the eggs and raise them inside to save them from the flies.
