I have a hummingbird feeder on the side of a shed. The female has been around consistently since late April-early May. On 08/15/14 I first saw a juvenile. These are ruby-throated hummingbirds. I saw the male once, chasing another (couldn't tell if it was male or female) away.I put the feeder out in mid- to-late March so that any early birds will have a place to go, but they were all late this year.
