Filled up the feeder on Wed. 8/20. We plant 7 gardens of flowers specifically for butterflies and hummingbirds so we always have them but not as close to the house as the feeder is. On 8/21 I saw males fighting over the feeder on two occasions. I only put the feeder up when I think they're bulking up for the trip south, they get plenty of nectar from the flowers. Cardinal vine in particular brings them to the garden in droves.
