On a number of separate occasions I saw a lone female monarch in our backyard. Could have been the same one but maybe not. I'm new to reporting on Journey North and didn't write down the exact dates. I observed a female laying an egg. Looked over my milkweeds and found about 20 eggs. I am raising some caterpillars indoors. I have 3 healthy chrysalises and 10 caterpillars. One chrysalis failed.
