Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 07/30/2014

Number: 1

Finally saw my first Monarch this summer while on vacation!!!! I noticed it when we were in the car and leaving Sherman Farm in East Conway, NH, so we were only able to observe it for a few minutes. It was flying in the driveway area. Searched various milkweed patches in Maine (located minutes down the street from the Farm), as well as some in Connecticut and was only able to find Milkweed Tussock Moth caterpillars. I haven't seen a single Monarch in Connecticut, just mainly painted lady's and swallowtails.
