27 Monarchs sighted while kayaking on Lake Michigan. This occurred over a 2 hr. period. All were singles flying southerly direction along shoreline near Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Several Monarchs sighted near our hometown in Yorkville, Ohio. These were just feeding in fields near our home.
Happy to report a large increase in milkweed plants this year. The most we have had in several years.
We have already observed more Monarchs this year than all of last year. Peak migration here is in September.
