7 ruby throats feeding at my feeders. I have 4 feeders up. Three adult males are still defending 3 of the feeders. The females and juveniles can usually manage brief feedings while the males are chasing other hummers off. When all else fails they move to the 4th feeder under an oak tree. It is not as popular--I assume because it is in dense shade while the others are in light shade under the eaves. The hummingbirds are also feeding on my althea (rose of sharon), black and blue salvia, walker's low nepeta (cat mint), and petunias in hanging baskets.
