Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/27/2014

Number: 5

I'm a little late reporting but got tied up last night so want to do it now and then later I'll do it again. I made fresh nectar yesterday and by the time I got back didn't see doing it until a.m. Last night the usual 5 were there flying around chasing each other. My babies are still here and seem to be getting a bit fatter than when I first saw them. There is somewhat of a chill in the air when I went out with my dog was around 70. My hummers were out flying around and was so happy to see them, I am dreading the day I go out and they are gone. Now I have to go get my feeders clean them and fill them up. In my travels as well with the dog was happy to see the trumpet vine plant in a section of a wooded area that I had never seen before. Glad that is there for them so I have to make it a point to try and clear away the weeds and make it alot more healthy so next year it will be good to go. When you have alot of peoperty around you and start exploring you never know what you might find. All good for the Hummers. :0)
