Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/27/2014

Number: 4

Adult male ruby-throat, juvenile male and 2 or 3 females really hitting the nectar feeders. Have 4 hummers around for sure but can't quite tell if there is a fifth one. Hummers seem to be sharing the feeders more this year. Not quite as territorial as in past years. Noticed yesterday evening the hummers went to roost for the evening about 10-12 minutes earlier than usual (around 8 p.m.). Previous few days they have left between 8:10 and 8:15 p.m. Sky was cloudy which might account for it. Seem to have noticed earlier departure times for roosting on cloudy evenings.
