Sightings report image

Date: 08/26/2014

Number: 12

I was taking late summer pictures in two gardens at Southwest MN State University. Most of the butterflies were flying high (2 stories up), but a few seemed to be "nectaring." One landed in a stand of evergreens where I spotted a roost about 4 years ago. I attached a picture (sorry, did not have best lens on for capturing). After the monarch left, I pushed my way into the trees but did not spot a roost this time.
