This summer I can go days without a sighting. Yesterday, looking out the kitchen window (it was 95 degrees outside), there were two monarchs flying about, as if in a dance, then both landed on the butterfly bush, and ate/drank for several minutes, and then flew off, again as a pair, circling about and then out of my field of vision.
