Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 08/28/2014

Number: 23

A low flying cloud of females fussing and fighting over the feeders. We have out 6 feeders right now. The competition with honey bees is fierce. Between the two species, we fill up the feeders twice on most days. We are suffering from long term drought conditions combined with 90+ degree temperatures. Not much available for to sustain either species. It seems global warming is happening. We have a migration of armadillos. Have never seen them this far north.
