As I was weeding my cardinal plants, I stood up. Almost immediately a hummer flew in to feed, not more than a foot away. After a while it flew up to an oak tree next to another smaller hummer. The smaller hummer pointed it's beak up as though to be feed. The mother rebuffed the younger hummer and both flew away. A magical day!
Have much more activity on my main feeder as we move later and later into August.
Have yet to see a male this summer!
