I have seen one or two, here and there, all summer, but suddenly, in the last three days, they are dive bombing each other outside my windows, playing and flying everywhere. I LOVE it! There are at least three different kinds - some with red heads (ruby throats), some with a solid green shimmer, and some brown ones. I have 7 feeders out, and several times, I have had hummingbirds at all seven, with others chasing them and two or three no the little swings I have next to them, at the same time, so I am SURE I have had at least 13 at one time on my back porch.
