Over the last month, I have seen several hummingbirds, usually just once a day, always feeding on flowers. One time, I turned towards the window and a hummer was staring right at me. It was where a feeder had been last season. It dropped down and fed on the Red Salvia. This morning I saw one at the Red Shrimp Plant and Black and Blue Salvia. Have not yet ID'd an adult male and can only say the others were either females or immatures. Hoping to see more as Sept. approaches.
