Saw these adult butterflies, over several days as they were emerging from their chrysalis. They only hung around for a few moments. There were 9 caterpillars on one milkweed plant. I did not see the female when she laid the eggs. I also raised two butterflies indoors from another set of three caterpillars that I discovered later. One died in the chrysalis.
