This female monarch is feeding on a zinnia. The finches just love to pull the petals off but the monarch still seemed to find nectar on the spent blossom .
It flew around feeding on different zinnia. I than observed the monarch looking for my milkweed where she deposited eggs before it flew off. I am not sure how long the butterfly was in the garden I was outside for about 30 min.
