After a slow start, we are seeing many at our feeders...The adult males seem to have left. We have lots of females and juveniles. Some of the birds may be transient. We have had regulars all summer, probably nesting nearby. They are very busy at the feeders and in the garden. I know they will be leaving soon...I'll miss them. They sit on the post outside my kitchen window as soon as it gets light asking for the feeders to be put out. We have to bring them in at night because of the raccoons.
