I observed a fall roost on 2 locations on our farm near Barnesville, MN. About 50 monarchs were near the garden on a bur oak and 150 on a cottonwood tree in one of our tallgrass prairie remnants. A good number of individual monarchs were still on the prairie the same day (8-29-14).
