Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/24/2014

Number: 2

Found two tiny larva for my classroom. They looked only hours old and difficult to see. I took them to school for my students to observe. We looked at them under a microscope. They didn't have any color yet, except for a transparent green and black. In two days time they started getting yellow and orange coloring along with the black. So much fun for students to watch the life cycle and release the adult butterfly. I'll post again when the adult butterflies emerge.
