Cool and damp/misty @ 5 p.m.

We have had lots of new houses being built around us this year and the developers have taken out many of the trees. We still have one shelter belt left where we have often seen many monarchs, so I have been curiously watching the last few days. I saw 3-8 fluttering in the trees where they usually roost the last 2 days, although I’m not sure if these were roosting, or just passing through. We just checked the area tonight (8/25/14), and there weren’t any in the same area, even though the temperature has gotten quite cool. I will continue to watch and try to report on the Journey North site.
