On this day I went to a wildlife center and sat and watched the bird-feeding area for about an hour or so. I saw many seed-eating birds, but my patience was rewarded when a juvenile hummingbird came and ate at two different nectar feeders, and then went to several flowers on a hosta before flying away. The hummingbirds are becoming fewer and far between. I will miss these tiny beautiful jewels.
