This past week (August 25-31), I observed 19 monarchs and tagged 3. Last year no monarchs were seen or tagged during same time period. From August 18-31 last year, I saw just one monarch as compared to 35 this year and 12 were tagged for the same time period. I'm so happy they are increasing a bit.
