We saw a significant drop in hummingbirds using our feeders in the last 2 days. Today we saw 1 at 8:30 AM. We can tell from the slower drop in the sugar water that there are fewer here, but have only seen the one. Normally we will see 4 or so swarming around the feeder.
We have one rather combative male who needed a personal feeder on the other side of the house to keep the others fed and safe. We think he left yesterday, since he is not guarding his territory today.
