Though the date sighting field only accommodates a 24 hour period of time, I have seen no monarchs all summer, here, in Port Colborne or St. Catharines. My sister in Pt. Colborne reports seeing a couple. Conversations with a Ministry of Natural Resources person confirms the astounding lack/reduction of sightings here. The comments of fellow ministry staff express concern there may be a crash occurring in the monarch butterfly species. It is heartening to see your maps showing some sightings close by and am glad to have the opportunity to input data into it's migration this special year.
