We returned from a 4-day destination wedding celebration last night. This morning we still have at least 3 different individual hummingbirds visiting our 3 feeders. An adult male (last seen on August 28th) who vigorously defended one feeder by perching on the hook suspending it, has now been replaced by a young male with a splotch of ruby feathers on his throat. Another youngster and an adult female are also zipping around our yard this morning.
