We found 9 caterpillars on our milkweed plants. They appeared to be in the 2nd instar. We relocated them to an aquarium indoors and stocked it with plenty of small milkweed plants. So far 2 have formed a chrysalis and the 6 are hanging J's. One is still in the 5th in star. See the photo for our set up.
