Blackstone-Crane Lake Garbage Dump: 1:30 pm (About 1 km north of lake): A very large community metal dumpster, about 25 feet long and 10 feet high had been placed in the dump the previous day. On it, from whereever in the Parry Sound area this dumpster is stored had a chrystalis on the underpart, about 3 feet from the ground. It survived the move to the dump. It was in its green phase. The man who had delived the dumpster knew it was there and instructed the dump assistant to take good care of it and this man agreed. It is interesting that such men are as sensitive about the monarchs and their migration as the rest of us!
