Activity increased in the past few days. 5 feeders are up. Starting at 0700hrs and throughout the day numerous rubies are zooming around and feeder chasing. One photo today shows female feeding and 2 others in the chase. Barely can see them to the left and slightly down from the feeder. I cannot give an accurate count due to the amount of hummers zipping by. If I guess at least 10. If I stand to close to 1 feeder a male ruby gets close wings buzzing, and the side to side flight. He goes back in the tree till I move away. ! female uses me as cover so she can feed. At that time I'm about a foot away. The male don't like that so she feeds in peace. I don't move a muscle either.
