From our 5th floor deck, I can see over the tops of the trees of the neighborhood, and tops of the maple trees are already changing color to deep burgundy red. The deck flowers are also showing evidence of cold nights even though it's hot here today.Geranium leaves have a decided deep reddish tinge. Most annuals seem to be slowing down on their production of flowers. Sighted a lone adult Monarch last week on the deck. The nights are getting down into the mid-50s F. The sun has begun its retreat Southward and has moved about 21 degrees already from due west. That's it for now from the deck.
