I first saw the male monarch on the Mexican sunflower it was opening and closing it's wings. It than flew into the dogwood tree continuing to open and close his wings. It was right after a rain shower so it either was warming up or drying it's wings. It may have been in the garden longer than 15 mins once it landed in the tree stopped watching it.
