I should have reported this when I found it. I transplanted some Common Milkweed that would have been mowed at our lake property to our home garden. Lo and behold, there was a Monarch cat on it! I didn't notice it until it was a 3rd instar. I gave it plenty of Milkweed until the final stages--it crawled away under my Hosta plant. I haven't found a chrysalis yet, but I'm hoping it's safely pupating now, and maybe I'll see the adult emerge from the Hosta bed (or nearby) one of these days.
