In my daily travels I have spotted more monarchs than last year. I am averaging 2 -3 a day right now. Attached is a photo of a monarch I spotted at Robert Moses Beach on Friday roosting for the night. There is limited food at the beach, in another two-three weeks everything should bloom.
The summer was cooler than last year on Long Island, however this past week and coming week has been hotter (mid/high 80's)
Do you think the migration will be early or late this year?
