Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/03/2014

Number: 9

All nine of the viable chrysalids/chrysalides/chrysalises (how do you spell that?) eclosed. But sadly, three of them fell, lost their grip on the chrysalis case. I saw this happen for one of them, and rescued her. The other two happened when I was not looking and their wings would not straighten out
even after many hours.
Seven have flown off. The two disabled ones, I am keeping inside, giving water. Sad. But 7 out of 9 is 7 more Monarchs in our world!
Any advice on butterfly falling?
