We have been getting waves of migrating hummingbirds since the last week in July. The numbers peaked during the week of August 4 (I was going through 10 pounds of sugar a week keeping the feeders filled), then picked up somewhat again last weekend (I am down to using about 5 pounds of sugar per week, now.) There have been male Rufus here since the last week in July, along with Calliope and Lucifer. We have Black-Chinned throughout the summer, but their numbers are thinning.
