number of hummingbirds down significantly. they are still around, but do not eat the same 4 quarts a day that I have been putting out for the last month and a half. I have put out about 2 quarts in the last day and a half. some is still in the feeders from yesterday. I see mostly juveniles. I was seeing 12 at a time for the last month and a half, today I think I saw three together at the most. It seems pretty early for there to be so few, but maybe I am wrong. I believe I usually have them until early october. it seems like they may not be here until then this year. the numbers are really down. It has been very hot here for the last few days, mid 90s, that may have effected my number of visitors too. Hope they still hang around for the next month...it is so boring out here in the country without them!
