Date: 09/04/2014

Number: 5

Continued monitoring 5 cats reported yesterday. At 8:00 am 9/4 they were on the milkweed. At 10:00 am the first one crawled to a touching purple coneflower plant. By 10:30 am all 5 had followed a similar path. At 10:37 the first cat left the coneflower and started crawling through the grass. The second cat followed at 10:47. By 12:15 the first cat had reached a camellia bush 15 feet away. 6.5 feet up in the bush was a chrysallis from yesterday's roaming cats! Two of today's cats chose leafs 5 feet up and laid straight out on the undersides, mostly motionless, all of the rest of the afternoon until dark. Lost the other cats, but will continue to look. At 8:00 am 9/5 the two cats were now hanging upside down in a J position.
