Had a Painted Lady Butterfly flying and resting on my tall verbena in my yard on September 3, 2014. It was taking in nectar and flying back and forth over the yard for the whole afternoon. Got some pictures of it, so I am pretty sure it is the Painted Lady. Pictures were not good enough to post though. What a lovely sight to see this time of year.
