I planted milkweed in my yard 3 years ago. It's matured and spreading. I only saw ONE butterfly the entire season ... and it was fluttering around my milkweed. A week later, I discovered tiny caterpillars. 6 of them grew to 2 inches and disappeared last night. I captured the last large caterpillar and 2 one inch caterpillars and put them in a safe container with plenty of milkweed and air. Hopefully these 3 will live and I can release them as butterflies.
