A few years ago I observed several monarchs attracted to my butterfly bush. Last year I hardly saw any. This summer I was so disappointed that I hadn't seen any monarch butterflies around my butterfly bush until today. I finally saw one hovering on the flowers of the bush. I was so delighted I took pictures of it!
