Sightings report image

Date: 09/06/2014

Number: 4

What a nice surprise I had two newly hatched females this morning. Than right around lunch I had two males that had just hatched. They were all opening and closing their wet wings so it was easy to identify them. They all started out on the Mexican sunflower and floated the zinnia and back to the sunflowers. This the first time I have had this many monarchs in the same day. Normally I may see that many in a season. Hurray for milkweed I am trying to talk all my neighbors into planting some next year. I send them pictures of monarchs hoping that will help. The monarchs stayed around most of the afternoon.
