We have noticed a few early monarchs and some Queens in our area. We have also noticed a dramatic decline in the number of milkweed (Spider milkweed and butterfly weed) plants in areas that usually have an abundant supply. We had an unusually cool summer and more rain than normal for our location and were wondering if this could be a factor in the milkweed decline.
