We put up 2 hummingbird feeders at the start of the school year, and have had at least 2 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds visit the feeders consistently over the past 2 weeks. Recent feeding behavior has shown more frequent and longer visits, with each hummingbird taking anywhere from 10-15 sips of sugar-water solution at each visit! They are getting ready for migration! Today students told me when a hummingbird was at the feeder and I was able to snap quite a few pictures of our feathered friends! We wish them well on their upcoming migration South.
