I have been doing large releases of offspring of wild monarchs over the last few days and tonight, I saw them roosting in my neighbor's large oak tree behind my yard. The area is sheltered. My husband and I watched monarchs, one by one, circling and flying to the oak. A hummingbird was chasing some of them off for some reason so a few flew into the conifer next to the oak and a some flew into the holly tree but most remained on the oak lower down from the hummingbird. I wrote to Cindy @ JN to ask how to document the offspring of wild monarchs that were released. No response so I placed the report here. I live in SE PA, about an hour from the MD and DE.
