I have seen at least two monarchs in the past week in my garden and on my daughter's flowers in Halstead. She deliberately grows milkweed but we did not see any caterpillars earlier in the season or adult monarch butterflies until lately. I suspect there may have been more than two but can't confirm it. I am definite about the species as i have painted the butterflies in the past on more than one occasion.
