Saw a couple of Monarchs fluttering through the back garden today. They seemed to be settling in early into our neighborhood Oak forest. I wouldn't be surprised if they are among a group roosting back there, because we have the largest, most established Oak forest in town. It's very shady, so I can't see above the canopy to see if there's a larger group. Anyway, the entire area is forecasted to have strong storms with 2-3 inches of rain tonight, so I hope any roosting monarch's will be OK.
