A sad day for me, I think my "Friend" & "Freckles' are gone. :( "Friend" greeted me in the morning when I went out with Emily my dog. She was the only one who knew about the secret feeder along side the a.c. and I looked out the window and there she was taking a drink and by the time the camera came on for me to get pictures of her she was gone. I figured she would be back around and perched on the sunny flower but never happened. I guess that was her telling me good-bye. I went out so many times looking and searching for those 2 birds and no luck. The only one around was "Terror" knew it was him cause he was the skiddish one even though he knew me. I walked out to run an errand and I guess I have 2/3 fly bys from up North making a pit stop for a drink. Could not get close but I knew from their skinny little bodies and the white markings on the one bird they were not my regulars. Still happy I am getting these guys to help build them up for their journey south bound. But going to miss my Babies already miss them so much. Be careful little ones, be safe and all you guys down South please take good care of them so I can see them again next year. St. Francis bless my babies and keep them safe. :) I was so happy this a.m. when I saw them, cleaned their feeders and made fresh nectar for them but they filled out nice and plump and sure hope they make it. This is a very plump "Friend" Good bye I am upset. :(
